What you can expect

Experience a captivating two hour guided Jellurgal ‘Dreaming Mountain’ Walkabout and explore the beautiful coastline of Burleigh Heads while learning about the rich Aboriginal history and culture. The journey begins at the Dreaming Amphitheatre with an engaging audio/visual showcase and an ochre ceremony. Then, your friendly guide will lead you along the Oceanview Track, where you’ll be treated to stunning coastal views from Tallebudgera Creek to Burleigh Point. Explore diverse environments—from eucalypt forests and pandanus groves to grasslands and rainforests, while listening to Aboriginal Dreaming stories, including the creation of the 'Dreaming Mountain'. You’ll also meet a traditional landowner to learn about bush tucker, fishing, hunting and the significance of various sites for the Yugambeh-speaking people. By the end of this experience, you’ll have gained a deep appreciation for the area’s Aboriginal heritage and created unforgettable memories along the way.
